The Direct Marketing Association of Detroit (DMAD) has been active in Southeast Michigan since 1959.  As we celebrate our 50th anniversary you’ll find our organization is The Pulse of Direct Marketing in Detroit!  If you are a marketer interested in learning more about the art and science of direct marketing, networking with other marketing professionals with similar interests, or just looking for competent professional suppliers, the DMAD is the place for you to reach out and get involved!

Meet Your 2010-2011 DMAD Board of Directors

PRESIDENT – Alejandro Della Torre

The President’s role is to guide the overall state of affairs for the DMAD.  This includes facilitating the monthly Board meetings and building relations with other marketing organizations.  The President’s role also focuses on maintaining a robust membership base and guiding the various committees in identifying priorities and critical issues for the year.

VICE PRESIDENT – Erin Rosenberg

The Vice President is responsible for being a deputy to the President, working directly with the President as a guide and consultant on all areas within the DMAD.  The Vice President needs to be prepared to fill in where necessary and take on special assignments as required.

TREASURER – Larry Yuhas

The role of Treasurer is to guide the financial health of the organization, while helping to grow the breadth and depth of programming offerings to our membership.

SECRETARY – Lynne Schrage

The secretary is responsible for keeping records and activities of the board organized. This includes maintaining Board meeting minutes and agendas and maintaining the board meeting calendar.

PAST PRESIDENT – Larisa Walega

The Past President is a liaison between the current Board and the PPEG (Past President Education Group).  The Past President is also responsible for the annual Educational Seminar. Additionally, the Past President provides guidance to the current President and ensures a smooth transition between Boards.

AUTOMOTIVE INTEGRATED MARKETING SYMPOSIUM (AIMS) –

CHAIRS Bob White and Christina Counts

The responsibilities of the AIMS Chairs include preparation and oversight of the AIMS budget, pre-event planning, assisting in obtaining speakers and sponsors, and supporting the AIMS committee to ensure another successful event.

MARKETING/PUBLIC RELATIONS – CHAIR Terry Crouson

The Marketing/Public Relations Chair is responsible for writing press releases on news and events for DMAD, coordinate information with local media. In addition they are responsible for maintaining brand continuity throughout all facets of the DMAD.

MEMBERSHIP – CHAIR Natalie Finn

The role of the Membership Chair is to help identify and recruit new members and help with member retention efforts.  Through a combination of personal visits, telephone contact, and marketing campaigns, prospects are identified, qualified and recruited for various levels of individual and corporate membership.

PROGRAMS – CHAIR Lonnie Miller

The role of the Programs Chair is to help plan and implement monthly luncheons and special events programs. Planning includes venue and A/V management, identifying and recruiting speakers, committee liaison with speakers, publicity and sponsorships.

RESPONSE - CHAIR Gary Sosnick

The Response Chair is responsible for putting together budgets for design, advertising, print and e-mail for DMAD.  The chair oversees the content, writing, editing and proofing for each issue while working with others including the Board, art director and other volunteers who make Response a reality.

TARGET AWARDS - CHAIR Julia Mounts

The role of the Target Awards Chair is to help plan the star-filled Target Awards.  This includes venue procurement, theme development and planning a spectacular night celebrating the successes of Detroit’s direct marketing community.

WEB SITE - CHAIR Donald Smith

The Web site Chair’s responsibilities include creating and updating content on the DMAD Web site. Additional responsibilities include working on cross promotions with all DMAD committees and keeping web practices current.
